Handmade straw hat with wave brim, round crown and colourful flowers

We worked on the perfect halo hat for a long time. Its special shape presented a challenge. The hat is worn on the back of the head. The brim narrows towards the bottom, which is a great wearing comfort, because no wide brim disturbs the neck. This hat was particularly popular in the mid-19th century. By the way, "halo" means halo, and the shape is also known as "bambini", as it is reminiscent of the halo of the Christ child. In order not to disturb its shape, the straw hat is kept simple through and through. You can decorate it with hair flowers, which you can stick between the brim and the head.
There is a hat band on the inside and the straw hat is fastened with crocodile clips. The straw hat looks best when you wear it slightly slanted to the side in typical vintage style. The pretty flowers on the brim in red, pink, yellow, purple and turquoise allow you to combine the hat with many other colours.
The hat is handmade from French straw braid.

Small fancy spring fascinator with titmouse and nest

Our mini fascinators can also be unusual and oppuklent. On the small base of 7 cm, titmice have built a nest and already laid 2 eggs in it. Now a little bird is guarding the clutch. Decorated with small forget-me-not flowers, the hat reminds us even more of spring.

A small unobtrusive hair ornament for Rockabilly beginners or those who like it less big - similar to a hair clip. Our Mini Fascinators have a diameter of approx. 7 cm. The base is made of rubber and is slightly curved. All Miranda's Choice hats are handmade, very neatly finished. There is a crocodile clip on the underside. So that the hair does not get damaged, this is covered with fabric, so that sharp edges are covered, but the tooth structure of the clamps still helps that the Mini Hat holds perfectly even with short hair.

Straw fascinator with autumn fruits.

On a base of woven raffia you can find lots of berries and fruits in yellow and brown tones, even small mushrooms.
The Fascinator is very fashionable again; it is not only used at horse races but also at weddings. The vintage style hat is also popular with Rockabilly fans. The base is made of rubber and is slightly curved, so that the Fascinator fits perfectly on the head. All Miranda's Choice hats are handmade and very clean. There are two crocodile clips on the bottom. So that the hair is not damaged, the clamps are covered with fabric so that sharp edges are covered. Nevertheless, the tooth structure of the clamps helps the Fascinator to hold perfectly even in short hair. For a secure hold, we recommend pushing the headpiece into the hair from diagonally back to diagonally forward.

Tiki Queen big fascinator with monstera leaves, frangipani blossoms and tiki mask.

Tiki roughly describes the exotic wave that made its way into all areas of decoration in the 50s. Sculptures, jewellery, prints, porcelain and home accessories were dominated by various Hawaiian symbols or elsewhere in Polynesia. We too have been inspired and crown you with this kidney-shaped fascinator to the Tiki Goddess. The base is bordered with straw, a Tiki carved out of styrofoam sits in the middle between white frangipani flowers and a fan of monstera leaves spreads out in the back.

Noble straw Half Hat in "Infinity" shape

In addition to the Infintity hats made of velvet, we now also have them made of straw for you. This hat shape was already very popular in the 50s. The simple, but nevertheless extraordinary shape of the lying eight adorned the head of many ladies. The figure eight is the symbol for infinity, hence the name "Infinity Hat". Some of you will know this hat from the series with Mrs. Maisel. She wore it on holiday in the Catskills. The fascinator is flat-brimmed, so that the dreamlike shape is shown off to its best advantage. The hat is reinforced with wire, so it can be bent to fit the shape of the head. 2 crocodile clips on the underside secure the hat in the hair.

Pillbox hat hand made of straw - vintage style

The classic pillbox is better known as a hat made of wool. For us, the vintage hat meets straw and we have developed a summery pillbox made of straw. We are sure: Jackie Kennedy would love this hat. If you love vintage fashion, you simply can't do without straw accessories in the summer. With a very flat brim and only a small bow, it is exactly the same size as an original 50s hat. The pillbox is slightly flattened at the top. It has an inner diameter of approx. 17.5 cm and a height of approx. 7 cm, the lid (crown) is slightly curved towards the top. For a secure hold, there is a hair comb in the inner part, and against wind and weather, a hair band can also be attached (included in delivery).

This outfit is the absolute highlight of the Las Vegas collection, to match the elaborate skirt we have also designed a belly top. It is literally a "Cramen shirt". The shoulders are exposed and wide flounce collar closes the shirt. The inspration was Carmen Miranda's stage outfit, which she last wore at a show in Las Veags in April 1955 just a few months before her death
