In creamy white, our Pillbox hat looks particularly elegant. We can imagine this stylish Vintage hat not only going well with costumes, but also as a bridal hat. Especially weddings in rockabilly style are very popular. The pillbox hat describes a stiff, oval to round hat that is flattened at the top. Especially in the 50's/ 60's it was a popular fashion accessory of Jaqueline Kennedy, who was considered one of the best dressed women in the world. Our pillbox hats are made by hand. Their inner diameter is approx. 16.5 cm and a height of approx.6 cm, the lid/crown is flat held and slightly curved. The hats are made of a skeleton of Caoutchouc to keep their shape and are lined on the inside with taffeta. For a secure hold there is a hair comb in the inner part, for stormy wind and weather an additional hair band can be attached (included in delivery). The bow or the seam on the brim belongs to the back, so that the hat is worn on the side of the head or in classic style diagonally on the back of the head.

Beautiful large half hat that covers almost the entire back of the head. The fascinator is elaborately embroidered with lace flowers and bright pearls in mother-of-pearl look. The shape and design is inspired by the elegant half hats of the 50s and reminds us a bit of Mrs. Maisel. Beautiful and refreshing white and yellow fascinator with lemons. "When life gives you lemons, make lemonade" or better: wear them on your head! Similar to pineapples and melons, lemon prints are also very popular in rockabilly fashion, so we're sure there's already something suitable in your wardrobe.

The base is made of rubber and is slightly curved, so that the Fascinator fits perfectly on the head. All Miranda's Choice hats are handmade and very clean. There are two crocodile clips on the bottom. So that the hair is not damaged, the clamps are covered with fabric so that sharp edges are covered. Based on an original design from the early 50s, this cocktail hat has been lovingly handcrafted. The elongated kidney shape allows it to be worn on the side like a fascinator or in the middle on the back of the head like in the old days. The Half Hat is trimmed all over with white hydrangeas, each pistil is a small bead that has been embroidered by hand.

The pillbox hat was very popular in the 50s and 60s, this hat is characterized by its small brim. Jaqueline Kennedy is probably one of the most prominent wearers. We have made this wonderful piece especially for the current Miss Candyfloss Collection winter collection 2021. The hat is covered in dark beige and the floral appliqués are elaborate. Its elongated kidney shape makes it possible to wear it on the side like a fascinator or, as 'back then', in the middle of the back of the head. The half hat is covered with hydrangeas in light blue, white, beige, pink, mint green.... Each flower pistil is a small pearl that has been embroidered by hand. This noble half hat was created on the occasion of the Miss Candyfloss summer collection2023. The base is padded, and covered with folded fabric in ivory - nothing more. Nevertheless, this large fascinator looks very noble, by the simplicity you can combine it great. You can wear the half hat on the side or on the back of your head. Who is Miranda, by the way?

The name "Miranda's Choice" is our homage to the great Carmen Miranda, who became famous mainly for her eye-catching headdress.

Behind the name, hats, jewelry and everything else is me - Nadine.
I love the fashion of the early 50's, even more I love to create new pieces based on the wonderful designs of the early times..
