Fruit and Fruits - Carmen Miranda vintage style headdress.

Spectacular! This headdress is absolutely extraordinary. All kinds of fruit are arranged on a large kidney-shaped base covered in green fabric. The headdress is a small homage to Carmen Miranda (woman with the tuttifrutti hat). The special thing about this big fascinator is that you can wear it on the side/front as well as on the back of your head. The half hat features pineapple, grapes, tangerine, strawberries, cherries and all kinds of flowers and leaves. Made with very light materials, it weighs no more than a normal hat. Like all products of Mirandas Choice, the headdress is made with absolute care. The base is made of rubber and is slightly arched, on the underside there are 2 crocodile clips. These are covered with fabric, so sharp edges are covered, but the tooth structure of the clips keeps the Fascinator perfectly in place even with short hair.

Material: Base made of caoutchouc, crocodile clip, lined with 100% cotton, handemade and handpainted fruits (made of styrofoam), synthetic materials, textile-leaves, silk flowers or flowers made of styrofoam; not eatable!

How do I attach the headdress?

On the underside is a toothed crocodile clip, which is additionally covered with fabric to protect your hair. If you have very fine hair, then first push a conventional bobby pin into the hair and then clamp the hat with the crocodile clip vertically under the bobby pin.

These earrings are based on originals from the 50s. Even back then, jewellery designers discovered the colorfulness of brightly colored fruits. The material was usually Bakelite, but we have used fruits made of synthetic resin. The ring is reminiscent of rattan, but is also made of synthetic resin. Who is Miranda, by the way?

Miranda's Choice stands since 2008 for lovingly handmade products in vintage style.
The name "Miranda's Choice" is our homage to the great Carmen Miranda, who became famous mainly for her eye-catching headdress.

Behind the name, hats, jewelry and everything else is me - Nadine.
I love the fashion of the early 50's, even more I love to create new pieces based on the wonderful designs of the early times..
The love in the production goes into every product.
