Whether tailored from cotton or warming from wool, our berets are the perfect accessory for an elegant style in summer or winter. We have designed our berets with great attention to detail, harmonious colour combinations and with different applications for every occasion.
Discover our elegant and warm ear warmers. They are made of velvet or wool and lined with fleece. They are fastened with a Velcro fastener so that your hairstyle remains intact when putting them on and taking them off. There are beautiful velvet flowers to match. For colder days, we also have velvet scarves, which are also lined. They are modelled on the pretty scarves from the 50s. So winter can come!

Our berets are of course also available in a maritime style. This beret in dark blue has a handmade appliqué of a lobster. This makes the beret a great match for blue dresses, red skirts or simply jeans. The beret, or later beret, really is an old hat. They have been adorning people's heads since the year 1500, first for military purposes and then for fashion. The round cap therefore evokes surprisingly different associations: It symbolises both French simplicity and artistic complexity, as well as military authority and revolutionary ideology.
Our berets are inspired by the designs of the 1940s. Made from wool with hand-finished appliqués, they are dimensionally stable and elasticated and are sure to see you through the cold season

BERETS MADE OF WOOL 

The beret or beret is a small round cap that is usually worn diagonally on the head. When worn at an angle, the beret always looks a bit playful, as it was a popular headgear for many artists. This cap is a cute accessory for colder days. But we also have berets for summer: light as a feather and crocheted with coarse stitches from raffia in 4 different colours.

BERETS FOR LADIES

The modern, close-fitting cut of the sporty and elegant beret fits into the everyday life of every stylish vintage lady. 

The beret first appeared in the Middle Ages and was worn by intellectuals and people of higher classes. In the 19th century, the design was reused within military uniforms and also found a place within social fashion and culture through the French Revolution. In the 40s, the beret fully established itself as a fashionable elegant accessory.

For which head size are the berets fit

Both wool and raffia berets are elastic and therefore stretchy.

Is a beret made of raffia not very stiff

At first, the raffia beret is actually a bit stiff and doesn't mold properly. Give the beret some body heat and cuddle it properly, and in no time it becomes more cuddly.
